How adequate is the shape of a guitar to rest the wrist on the guitar body real?
In my old Start, to rest the wrist on the body the real guitar (not the bridge) when assembling the string bass (I play metal). I just bought a Les Paul, and the strings are so far from the body that my old style of play not possible. Now just try to rest the little finger on the body at the other end in the chain mail riding high at the lower chain. So this made me think Does anyone else do this? Is it right? Why I can not do on the Les Paul?
Your wrist should not really play guitar. Even if the use of right hand to mute the strings you do with the outer edge of the hand (pinky side), not the wrist. Some people use your pinky as a support, but is not really optimal either style. Wrist rest against the body of the guitar is definitely a good way though.
