What is a good organizer to download?

I am looking for a small, simple and easy to use calendar / organizer. If free would be even better. What I am looking for is a calendar that can add notes by clicking on a date. I would be able to establish visual (blinking, etc), reminders, and the updating and reference by simply clicking on the date or the search of the subject. Another useful feature would be a section Group and notes the date and reminders in the same way. I can not find something like this I have heard or used before. There is a similar thing, but I can not remember the name and it has a lot of extras that would never use. I must learn to design something like this, hehe. And I use Vista. It came with this computer. This team is not worth a new operating system. So if someone is using a program like this that they love, can you let me know about it and where you got it from? Thanks!

Broderbund Calendar Creator has 12, or the Platinum version. You can use the calendar by Broderbund PrintMaster. It has "Event Reminder" you can set it to alert a few days before the event or at any time you choose. I use it all the time for my local church group. Broderbund Broderbund.com, or go to Goole.
