Does anyone know how to make this universal remote work?

I have one of the small RCA universal remotes. I do not have the codes pamplet so I went on the net and found codes for it. I tried every code there was and it still won’t work. I even did the code search and it would turn the tv off but wouldn’t do anything else. I am trying to program it to a JVC tv. Any suggestions?

We had the same problem with the TV in Hospice, none of the staff could make the remote work, nor could the technician that came. I was fiddling with it and found you could do a code search, Which I did and noticed that even though the TV was supposed to have a 3 digit code, the ones it found were 4 digits. It that is the case with your set, put in a 0 placeholder for the first number then the three it calls for. Good luck.
