Steel Slant
acoustic guitar and strings? Questions?
I have a squire, I'm very good abd Fender now has steel strings having pegs or chain as through then turn to adjust the tuning to drop d er whatever. full size, rather large, uncut. after my dentist appointment Tomarrow I would go to the city of music and see if they can put nylon strings on it and take the steel out. nylon strings and I want it, I'm experienced and I want to play more music classical and relaxing. Nylon is a good idea or will it damage the guitar, or just do not fit in the guitar? the guitar has a bridge bent and below the 6-pin black dots on top. help! plz and thanks!
It will not damage the guitar, but most have nylon strings classical smooth pipes. You can not use stakes to hold the bridge. You have to get the strings right ones.Folk has the ball end. Yet another problem is the diameter of the nylon strings. Are large. The nut of the guitar is made for steel. The nylon does not fit properly. Also the bridge is yours as you say inclined to steel chains. Classics have a flat bridge. Tuning in his not so perfect.
