Choosing the right Rubber Stamps

Years ago there was only one option for rubber stamps and the craftsman. Typical wood mounted stamp rubber. Many of the old rubber stamps also came with handles like business stamps today, while others had pickaxe. With growth of this hobby, now can buy many different types of stamps ranging from mounted, unmounted, Clear Acrylic, foam, individually or through the sheet. Just a quick check online show many companies who sell stamps in all previous types. You might wonder what is the best type of stamp to buy is. Although it would be wonderful be able to give an answer in black and white, each type has applications that work better than others. We would like to take the mystery of what type of seal to use, when and how to use.

Not long ago, foam stamps were intended for use by children. While that may have been true for years, seals High quality foam can be bought nowadays. Foam stamps are a fantastic option when you are going to be stamped on the canvas or the walls. Beyond being cheap, have a very deep image that is perfect for printing on rough surfaces. Twenty years ago if you told someone you had an entire closet full of rubber stamps, I would have thought you were a crazy fanatic. Unmounted stamps can be backed up with everything from magnets to electricity static cling foam, and can be mounted in the medium of choice. Some prefer to use traditional rubber stamps that have been trimmed around the design and then placed in a static foam that can be easily mounted on acrylic blocks. While the cost per stamp is the main concern usually another advantage unmounted stamps immediate shipping is cheap, because they are paying to send the timber assembly. Acrylic stamps are new stamps in the block. Or someone you love them or hate them. Clear stamps have many fanatical followers each day and do not like the next day. Wood mounted rubber stamps or stamps unmounted, mount your preference, remain your best bet in the end. Not so much what kind of stamp you have, but what kind of application you will be using with.
