I need a new yellow drum for Rock band 2?

I got rock band 2 on the xbox for christmas as a gift. While taking it home from my gran’s house the yellow drum pad twisted off and the wire attaching it to the rest of the kit pulled out and became unattached. Now the yellow drum pad doesn’t work, and I’m totally freaking out about my mum finding out. Where can i get a replacement? Will I need a total new set of drums? The rockband website said I should return it to where it was bought but that would mean telling my mum and that is a definite no-no. It also said it would not replace drums that showed any signs of abuse. Will I get a replacement? It was a total accident and I’m seriously freaking out!
