Math question…You are loading trucks with bones. Each box is cube-shaped and has a side length of 2 feet…?

Each truck can carry 50,000 cubic feet of volume. If you have 20,000 boxes to load, and each truck to capacity before loading the next truck, how much space will be left in the last truck?
A. 10,000 cubic feet
B. 32,000 cubic feet
C. 38,000 cubic feet
D. 40,000 cubic feet
E. 45,000 cubic feet

I reckon it’s 40,000 cubic feet. What a hard question.

Each box is 8 cubic feet (2 x 2 x 2). Therefore each truck can take (50,000/8) boxes = 6,250.

Three full trucks = 3 X 6,250 boxes = 18,750.

20,000 -18,750 boxes left for the last truck = 1,250

How many cubic feet for 1,250 boxes? 1,250 X 8 = 10,000.

Therefore space in last truck = 50,000 – 10,000 = 40,000.
