The Plastic Logic Reader eBook WHAT: The new kid on the block
The new kid on the eBook reader is the WHAT of Plastic Logic. Pronounced like the letter 'Q', has not yet got under way, and seems to be an innovation in technology eReader on the features and capabilities that is claimed to offer: these will be described later.
For now, however, appears to be the first of a new generation of voters expected to be launched in 2010 by these companies waiting to see the best that Amazon could produce. The DX Kindle is seriously challenged by the WHO, but how do prices compare? The answer is we do not know yet because it had not plastic Digital to launch and price of your product. However, it appears that efforts are being made to wait for a price much higher than Kindle or ebook reader for the consumer-oriented.
The Kindle was always going to be set up ready to attack any company that was believed eBooks that were the experience of reading the future. The same is true of eReading Sony creations and any other business that rested on its laurels. THAT Plastic Logic is a step beyond what we've seen to date, and no doubt there will be many steps further.
Do not be too worried about the high price predicted: any company publicly declaring that their new product will focus on the business market eReaders instead of regular users is either trying to extract a high price for their product or really has so many light years ahead of the Kindle or PRS-700. Hardware predominantly designed for the business market is unlikely to provide a better reading experience in a book than any other eReader.
There is no evidence that it is not a serious competitor to a normal eReader. The fact that Barnes & Noble are selling in the THAT their own stores next to their own corner indicates that perhaps there is a significant difference in the intended use – and certainly in the price of B & N to accept this agreement Plastic Logic!
There is no doubt that it is ahead of the Amazon and Sony products despite the long way to go is for you to decide. It is extremely thin, to begin, and your screen of 8.5 x 11 inches DX beats the Kindle hands down. In fact, the screen is not only unbreakable, but lossless capacitive sensitivity to such displays are often in layers. You do not need a pencil, and offers 3G and wifi. However, a bottom is that it uses AT & T 3G!
Plastic Logic claim that they are competing with the Kindle, which can only mean that it is not intended for the consumer market. While it is true that the market that aims eReader business only then it is likely that high-priced corporate, and not intended for reading entertainment magazines or popular fiction, but spreadsheets, reports and AGM. Basically, it was easy to read format eReader which it is printed on sheets that had to be distributed each individual. A distributed electronic files against potentially tens or even hundreds of photocopies or sheets of printed paper. As noted in the article " A new generation of readers e-contributes to environmental protection , call Green Reading reduce the carbon footprint of an individual are intertwined literary human interaction and life on the planet together in a favorable level (Digital Reading books.)
Let the view that that must be launched to consumers in order to profit – and that is a pretty safe assumption to make. Its jurisdiction is the technology Current: Cool-er and Kindle, for example. These are not technologically demanding standards to beat, especially as the electronic book reader market has been demanding to date. Now, however, consumers are starting to sit up and notice the benefits of voters, from both a comfort and an environmental standpoint. The battle has begun.
So where plastic logical picture when we assume that Amazon, Sony, Apple and Microsoft will take note and start working on something different from what has been so far a product to meet the relatively low demand for a niche market? In fact, surprisingly well! He reads business formats, such as PDF, Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and you can even edit MS Office documents on the screen.
Unlike the Kindle, which allows users to jump between documents, an important business requirement. Indeed, it seems that once the Plastic Logic product launches that have little or no competitors in the commercial business market eReader. The company is associated with the contents of a number of publishers such as Barnes and Noble (the powers of the store), the Financial Times, USA Today, Ingram Zinio Digital and more others.
It should already be obvious why no complaints Plastic Digital to compete with the Kindle. It should in fact be the reverse: there is no way that the Kindle could compete with the market in the business. Only one problem: not yet launched, and everything I've read to date are nothing more than promises. If, however, which brings together these pledges, others have a way to go to compete for the business of commercial eReader.
