Electric knife sharpener other suggestions?

I bought Chef's Choice knife sharpener one at a garage sale. It was a cheaper model interrupted. Only worsens as good as I do with a stone (ie, wrong). I just got a bad sharpener? Any other suggestions? Not suggest a stone or a stick of grinders and food TV chefs recommend. They do not work for me. I will not spend a penny on them. I have poor vision and apparently can not get the right angle, so I need the automation of some sort. Please help! When I move, I will not I have no one to sharpen for me!
