Self Inking Stamper
Self Inking Stamper
Help from all the Stampers out there!?
I make jewelry and I am going to be making my own earring cards to display them for sale. I plan to use a black card stock as that will best set off my jewelry. My question is this: I am going to be ordering a self Inking Stamper to print my logo across the top of each earring card. Is there an ink color that will show up nicely against black card stock? Also, if anyone knows of any sites that have great ideas for jewelry display I’d love to get “hooked up”. Thanks in advance!
First of all, I like gold lettering on a black background. I think as far as ideas go for displaying your items, I recommend using live models for your jewelry display photos and don’t forget to include photos of your jewelry with and without models
Here’s an idea I picked up for a display case too (if you need the photos, please contact me via e-mail and I’ll send them to you.
Materials
A big box that you can probably pick up at Michaels Craft Stores. (like a vintage-wanna be trunk)
Ribbon that matches the big box
Glue Gun and a screwdriver
If the box you select has a small brace on it to keep it open when you set it down and prevent it from opening more than 90 degrees, using the screwdriver, remove the two screws holding the brace so you can open it up enough to see inside properly.
Then cut the ribbon in lengths that are *just* long enough to fit across the box. You don’t want them to be slack at all. Decide how far apart you want your rows, and cut enough ribbon for them.
Use your hot glue gun to secure the ribbon to the box. Start by gluing down all of one side on one half of the box, to get your spacing right. Then go back to the first one you did, and pull it really tight, then glue in place.
And lo and behold, you now have an earring display.
Hang your earrings on it by the hooks, not the earring card. Just slip the back of the hooks over the ribbon. This works best with earring cards that don’t have a lot of top weight, otherwise the cards tend to fall forward on the display and look silly.
Hope this helps!
