Is it okay to tape to seal a package and mail it in?

I have this package in the mail and wondered if the post office allows tape.

Best thing to do is call and ask your local post office. They tape in the post office to use if you do not have the correct type.

Temperature is one factor that affects the performance of masking tapes. In too hot temperatures, there are tendencies that some adhesive residue will be left, and too cold temperatures can cause easy tearing in masking tape.
