How do you do something like this in Visual basics?

You will create an application that reads and writes a sequential file. The sequential file contains a Rolodex with a notes field. The notes field contains RTF text instead of plain text. The sequential file is located in Doc Sharing and is called FinalProjectDataFile.txt.

The fields contain the following data:

last name
first name
address
city
state
zip code
last contract date
notes
All the fields are text fields except for the notes field.

Create the code to open and save the file. The sequential file is structured such that each field appears on a single line, with the exception of the notes data, which can appear on multiple lines. The notes appear on multiple lines because RTF data can have embedded carriage return characters. Each record is separated by the pattern \\\?
It is not my whole homework project it is one question out of 8. this one I am stuck on

Set up your text boxes on the form. Make the last one a Notes or Memo field…set it to multi line in properties.

To write the file, get the text values and add to a string with commas between fields, like:

Mystring = txtFirstName.text & “,” & txtLastName.text & “,” &…txtNotes.text & “\\\”

I assume you’re appending to an existing file, so write it with the normal Input/Output Append method:

Open “C/Programs/MyFolder/FinalProjectDataFile.txt” for Append as #1

Write #1, MyString
Close #1

Open using standard Input/Output Input statement

Open “C/Programs/MyFolder/FinalProjectDataFile.txt” for Input as #1

My Visual Basic (not basics) syntax may be a bit rusty, but that should get you started.
