Paper-Mate I have a Pink Pearl Eraser and how to clean?

Every time I try to delete, I see some smug coming from the messy eraser. I tried washing with water and tried to touch on the ground, but still littering. What should I do and how?

Rub on carpet, or one of the chairs of the school. "Works every time with me. What not to do is wash it with water … it gets worse.
