Why is this government determined to destroy common sense in Britain?

Is it me or this government has made Britain so scared itself and how it appears to other nations than any shred of meaning and identity has been eradicated completely? I'm not racist / nationalist or other "Ist" that I know, but it seems ridiculous how much time / money / legislation this government wastes Tring to look "right." The shooting Menezes was tragic, as an innocent dead. But London had just been bombed, was on high alert for another, and this gent may wish to flee police armed asked him to leave. And then his family wonders why she had been shot. Would they have been so upset if his backpack contained explosives. Of course, Police do not have X-ray glasses is not known, as they believed necessary to protect London. And now they're being judged by it. Would this happen anywhere else? There are many other examples, for example, the interpretation of human rights act on which even France thinks we're stupid! Is it me?

This country and most of the EU is dominated and run by the PC liberal left crazy, it is likely that the number only 1-2% of the population but they have total control.
