I have a Credit Card in my maiden name?

I recently got married and went to the office of social security and DMV and got my name change case by the types of things, but I remember that my uncle once told me that my aunt said he should have a credit card in her maiden name just in case something happens … Is it a good idea to keep a credit card in my maiden name? and if so how does that work? What should I do to not only change my name with the credit card company? I'm a little confused as to how it works if I legally change my name to my husband's name how I could also keep a card in my maiden name … thanks!

There is no advantage to keep a credit card to her maiden name. If prompted identification everything will have her married name. Just send the credit card company warning you that you marry and change the name. There should be no problem.
