How do you clean memory Foam Wrist Rest Mouse pad?

I have this mouse pad has a foam Wrist Rest memory. After weeks of use, now it stinks. I wonder how to clean. Thank you.

I hand wash with warm water and detergent. I squeeze out excess water and air dry. I'll probably do a rinse with the hand as well to make it smell like fabric softener. mb
