So, is there a special ink for the inject printers or can I just refill my inject printer cartridge with literally any ink. (like the cheapest one from the bookstore you buy in gallons -actually milliliters or oz

In simple terms-NO
Cartridges should be refilled with the correct type of ink.
You can use new non-proprietary cartridges.
You can use those that the printer manufacturer recommend.
But using anything else but the correct type of ink is like putting milk in your car.
It will not work and it will be ruined.
