Tips and information when writing electronic music?

That's me: I'm http://soundcloud.com/the-neyde/happy-max experimental electronics etc, but my songs miss the basics – that just does not sound like everyone else. Is it a lack of ground strokes? Too fast / slow? What I'm looking for are some basics, advice or instructions to write electronic music. I did not study music, do not even have school @, not There is no chance I went to art college or w / e. Thanks!
