Starting my own business?

I recently started my own ironing board and laundry business. I've been called down by time. Can someone give me more ideas on how to any ad. I made flyers, Business Cards and I sent them to various companies. I traveled to different areas brochures and business cards through doors. I left flyers in restaurants and garages. I put ads in local newspapers. But business is very slow and I really want succeed in this, any help would be great.
