A package shipped via USPS with postage due and no return address must be sent with shipping costs?

Someone is sending me a stack of note cards for a class I'm taking. Me doing a favor by sending them, so I do not want to have to deal with shipping. If placed in an envelope and deposited in the mailbox addressed to me, no return address, will be delivered to me with a note that said additional shipping is? That would ideal. Thank you very much.

If there is shipping all in one package, and there is no return address, is considered dead mail and sent to Mail Recovery Center. Mail without postage rather never sent via the recipient. Send your friend a dollar or two and give them five or six stamps on the package. Now that there is a postage paid, if you need more, will be sent with postage due, and you have to pay the difference when delivered.
