What is the difference between the "Finance Company" and "owner" found in my car …?

… Contract lease? I've noticed in a rental car is a Finance "Company" and "owner" – eg. XYZ Motor Credit Corporation is the finance company and the owner is listed as Smith East, LLC What are its functions Thanks in advance!?

This is how car loans work (lease financing is similar but more complicated). The Finance Company is the originator of the loan. They have their own money. That are funded by a line of credit with a commercial bank. The owner is the entity that ends up owning the debt instrument (the note). An investor with real money. In the sequence: 1.
