new HP tx1000 sucks – any small laptop good?

I thought this seemed OK for $ 1,000, is small, the screen is robust because a tablet – reversible, etc, but the system sucks. the volume of the DVD is strong tough enough to hear normal speech 2 feet at full volume. the screen is covered by a gray haze (touch screen) the mouse bad looks good but the area does not detect my fingers dry and cool the 2 buttons L and R are clicking too far under the pillow and I can not tell if I am pressing the button or keyboard and there is not much difference. the buttons need for a blow to register. SLOW I wait for it to check the check box to delete yahoo mail. You hate VISTA – what a stupid idea to put that round Vista logo where the start button used to be in the lower left corner. if you hover over the logo then "START" is displayed. some very well duh small portable laptops for under $ 1,200?

I have a tx1000 and it appears quite satisfactory for everything I do. The quality of construction seems pretty good, but I agree, the touch screen is a little getting used to.
