Fred Durange, welding engineer , prides himself on his ability to match the proper welding techniques to a customer’s use and solve difficult welding situations. Nevertheless he didn’t have a ready response when some customers asked what filler wire he suggests for SCS steel. The reason? He had never heard of SCS fabrication steel.

Fred Durange and fellow welding expert Carl Hite investigated SCS strip steel and discovered that it had acquired a reputation as being an outstanding base material for welding.
