Why did Firefox mess with me?

OK, I was on a web site that wanted me to download the latest Firefox, so I did. Then I got a screen where the “finish” button was inoperative, the X in the upper right corner was inoperative, and the only way I could get rid of the [expletive deleted] was to reboot. So I did. Then when I had my computer up again, I clicked on the Firefox desktop icon, and bingo: back to the page I couldn’t get rid of!

So I got mad and uninstalled it. But the end of the uninstall program said “tell us what you thought of Firefox.” I clicked that, all prepared to tell them. Exactly what I thought of this won’t go away routine. Bingo! Another “won’t go away” right in front of the screen for the comments, and . . . why do they do that?

It was some promo about Google, I think. Is that why?

sorry, buddy, looks like you got a virus, shouldnt be too serious, but run your spyware killer and antivirus and it should recognize it as such and get rid of it for you. lots of spyware and viruses are out there and a lot are dressed up as legit items… so be careful
