What’s the best way to glue flat LEGO bases to wood?

I would like to glue several 10×10 LEGO bases to a play area tabletop in order to make a fun LEGO play area for some students.

Depending on the surface, I’d try silicone or caulk, depends on if you want to be able to remove the parts easily later… then you could just pull a wire underneath to remove.
