India Flag pieces in Jamaica
Cricket is nothing less than a religion in India and star cricketers give a strong competition the gods in the kind of adulation they receive and the kind of frenzy they create. But neither religion nor the teachings and none of the gods never taught to dishonor to the motherland or a symbol of it. However, the most revered god of the nation cricket, Sachin Romesh Tendulkar was nonchalant and unperturbed when he cut the cake three colors at a party hosted by an Indian non-residents in Jamaica before the World Cup on March 10. Now the question arises, is this an act can be forgiven? The photographs, which came into possession show Sachin Tendulkar ready to cut a cake HeadlinesIndia fashion to represent India in three colors with Ashok Chakra in the middle (Tiranga) and everyone there, including the Indians cheering and applauding the demise of Tiranga, for whose holiness each 'owned Indian is always willing to give his life. Without an iota of respect for the country, it is not surprising that the Indian cricket team lost the battle on the field.
But what comes in the form amazing the whole event is the presence of an Indian diplomat, the Indian High Commissioner to Jamaica, KL Agrawal. Was in place, encouraging as this cake (read Tiranga) in cutting ceremony progressed. The entire Indian team was present there and Zaheer Khan, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Ajit Agarkar Harbhajan Singh and Sachin Tendulkar are also clearly visible even in these photographs. One can let go of the fact that the highly esteemed and patriotic cricketer in question was not aware the act he was doing, but it is impossible to understand the fact, a veteran diplomat was not sensitive enough to honor the national flag at an international forum. This grave insult given to the flag of India is not expected of a person who is there to promote and protect indigenous rights.
Were'nt any of these do not know the Flag Code of India 2002 and other laws governing the code of conduct in relation to India vis tricolor? According to the Prevention of insults to National Honour Act, 1971, this law is not only immoral and insensitive, but also constitutes an offense with a maximum of three years imprisonment or fine or both. The Act stipulates that "in any public place or at any other place within public view burns, mutilates, defaces, defiles, disfigures, destroys, tramples on the lack of respect or otherwise displayed or put into contempt (whether by words, either spoken or written, or by acts) the Indian National Flag or any part thereof, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years or with fine, or both. "We must not forget that the act of showing lack of respect it committed at a party.
The expression, "Indian National Flag" includes any picture, painting, drawing or photograph, or other visible representation of the Indian National Flag or any part or parts thereof, made of any substance or represented on any substance. The cake used for the purpose, without any doubt, represented the Indian tricolor.
Moreover, the cake had the wording "I wish all the best," written on it. This is another crime as an explanation of four of the Act clearly states that the lack of respect for the flag of India includes entry to any in it. If the field performance of the Indian cricket team has shown the reality of their claims to win the world cup, this sin committed by a few Indians has exposed the hypocrisy behind their patriotic instincts. All Indian players relentlessly claim to be the most patriotic of all. They feel pain when they have to remove the paint in three colors on his helmet, but they laugh and applaud as they cut their own national flag! We condemn in the field, you cut on the table!
Players may be excused for their poor showing at the World Cup as cricket is a game of glorious uncertainties. Even NRI hosting the parties could be forgiven for having forgotten the importance of the flag and to cut the emotional attachment to Indian citizenship. Players could have been ignorant, but not knowledge of a law is not a defense against crime, the flag code, but it is essential that the High Commissioner asked why and how he did allow and get along with this state of things in his 'sublime' presence?

Will Memphis basketball players have their hearts in the right side?
Only a silly question for those who watch the games "March Madness "on television. When wearing a U.S. flag in front of his shirt, which is supposed to wear out-your-heart, as your hand when you are saying the pledge of allegiance. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse! * Laughs *
University of Memphis has to be a school of the right.
