can you get fired if you have a doctors note?

I was off Wednesday and Friday and Thursday i called off…i had a doctor fax a note to my work though, and then tommrow, Saturday i also have a note from a ER doctor that i cannot return to work until 8/19. can i get fired? i had days off and doctors notes, so no regular call offs.
ok i was just wondering because the doctor gave me one more day off because of the pain. he told me that i might have miscarried so thats why i just took it and wanted to be alone.

with some companies and states.. the laws vary.. at my job even with a note.. i have to find my own coverage for the shift.. my mom was on a points system.. where even with a doctors note you lost 1/4 point.. call-ins 1 point .. no-call/no-show 3 points.. they only got 15 points every quarter..
