How to move a mountain?
I'm going to buy 93.88 acres and about 1 of them is usable. The other is Mt. The property is a large rectangle where the land forms a V. One side is a large mountain that stands with mature trees and rocks – we're talking dynamite to move. I'm not going to play that way all time to own the property, which is too beautiful to mess with. The other side looks more like a big hill – definitely some large rock formations to be a challenge, but not as steep or rocky as the first side. In the center of the V is a section of the creek side of the hill is the usable acre. I want to level the hill, or at least slope at a level easy enough for the dogs and horses. My property is basically divided into the top of it, but my history with the owners of the neighboring makes me think that it goes halfway in this move your half. Where do I start? I'm sure that has to be someone who goes out and survey the property to give me an idea. What is your title and where I can find "him"?
The place to start is to contact a field geologist (I am not the U.S., but I suppose you could find more information on the U.S. Geological Survey) to come and tell you whether it is advisable to move a single rock from there. Equalization a mounatin, a hill or a part thereof, is playing with natural processes such as erosion, and is basically getting into trouble, especially since it is present water surface. You could even do it your way and have a nasty (which is a euphemism) surprise for months or years later, on the structures could be built there. In general, I would go to the mountain as it is, make a nice trail to the summit and admire the view. Good luck!
