metal shelves, what is the easiest way to change color?

I have a bookshelf with many drawers and shelves, etc and I have to change the color. Does anyone have ideas.I do not want to fix this apart, is a unit very complicated and take forever, not to mention the wear on the nerves. Please help …. any solid idea to be very welcome. Thank you all in advance for your response. Just a reminder that the plate has a very smooth finish …. with that in mind I'm not sure spray paint would work and what I really need something you can do at home that this unit would be very difficult to move.

ok … I would say u need to prepare lst then paint or faux finishing w / anthr wood grain, if that's what you want, but …. u because u can not Spray the inside and is large enough to take them out … u'll have to brush the primer on. U may want to invest in some of the foam brushes that u can get at hardware and crafts. Use KILZ or Zinser … then paint or any color you want or if you fake u'r like wood … u'll need imitation tool (hardware or paint store) and the base layer of lighter color or b ape the color you want the wood and the darker the color w / glaze for grains. and me and I will show ua microwave cabinet did w / color and faux wood. which is the best way I can explain. hope that helps … primer … paint … high gloss to protect from nicks or u'll have to add a veneer on the flat or satin paint.
