Is it bad taste to wear silver shoes with black socks?

Well, I have this cut deep purple strapless dress that comes to my knee. Has three-tiered skirt from the waist. My mom wants me to wear sheer black stockings, purple shoes, but I will make money (as my jewelry is silver), but I was wondering if it is sticky to use any shoe black, but with half black. Personally, I prefer to use a cute sandals with bare legs, but God forbid I have to show too much skin! lol

No, not sticky at all. Sounds cute. And since her black stockings almost any shoe color is well.
