How do I use a hard drive series with a xbox 360?
I just got a free Xbox 360 contract with a phone and is just the basic model. I'm not shelling out £ 60 for a 20GB hard drive when I can buy a 250 GB for the money and have a few kicks on the 60 GB spare. Especially when just "stop" using the space of 12 GB, brazen $%^$%£ Does anyone know how to connect a standard IDE / SATA hard disk that system is used as the primary disk, ie not only via USB so it looks like the removable storage. Do not worry about having to track SATA / IDE cables of the box. (Note does not need links to the guidance issued to a copy of its 360 existing hard drive boot files to a bigger hard drive as I do not have a unit copy) Thanks
Get chipped. But it is well known within their operation. I know that the old Xbox can have a 400 GB drive SATA cables, but you can buy a 20 GB drive for like $ 100 now to stick to the top without modding? That's what I would do. Otherwise, take a USB external HD, plug into USB ports and use it. They are cheap and not 40 GB SATA / IDE cables required. Hope it helps you.
