Why did Obama stay the course of the Bush administration regarding torture and liberals agree that here?

Especially those liberals who were passionately against torture and all the politics involved, when Bush did it? All Obama administration's rhetoric on 'Change you can believe in, "government transparency and democratic ideals went up in smoke Monday morning in a federal courtroom in San Francisco. A federal prosecutor on behalf of President Barack Obama and his attorney general, Eric Holder, rose to announce that the new administration inaction of the position taken by George Bush and his Justice Department in a case involving some of the atrocious crimes of most of the previous administration. Obama is a politician, and, as is much easier to criticize others with campaign rhetoric on the campaign trail than it is to live up to the ideals once the work is earned.
