RSS has made it very convenient to information from various sources of the union. Most web sites and services that publish fresh content, such as electronic publications, press, news agencies, blogs make their content available via RSS feeds. Like New content publishing, RSS feed is updated automatically.

Adding RSS feeds to web pages has many advantages. Let's say you've added RSS feeds from a popular ezine on one of their websites.

While this method makes the fresh content available to readers, the content of the food can not be "read" by spiders of search engines. Therefore the website is not the benefit of changing the content of the search engines.

On the other hand php based installation makes it possible for spiders to notice changes in web page content. This article is a follow up of my Previous article describing the simple steps to put RSS on a website.

For the purposes of this article I have chosen the free version of software available Carpa. The software can be downloaded from this site:

The instruction manual that comes with the package provides Detailed instructions for installing and running the software. Additional information is available on the site. While there are several options available for using the software, I'm showing here the simplest steps to load and run the software:

1. Download the software on your computer. It comes in a zip. After unzipping save files and files available on the computer. These files and folders will be available – carp (folder), img (folder), carpsetup.php, README.html.

2. Load all files and folders in the root directory of your website. This can be done via FTP. If the load is done file by file, make sure the file names and location of the folders and files in your folders do not change.

3. Carpsetup.php Run the installation from your web browser.

4. A new page will be displayed. There are two options given there and both are fairly simple to work. The choice of file-based check cashing is sometimes easier to configure since you don \ 't have to create a database and copy and paste the code in carpconf.php configuration. You could try this first option and if you have any problem you can choose the other option which is based on the mySQL database.

The following steps are for mySQL database option.

5. Create a MySQL database.

6. In step 4 above, select mySQL database. Another new page will open where you have to fill in the details mySQL database. Click "Create Database Tables."

7. The page that opens now will have code that has to be put on page website in which you want to display RSS feed. The code is displayed in a gray box.

8. Within the code there is "setup code." This code Configuration must be pasted into a file called carpconf.php. The file will be available in the directory of the tent. In the HTML script of this file locate the line "/ / Add configuration code that applies to all the issues here." Just below this line paste the setup code.

9. Choose a web page where RSS feed has to be displayed. The file name of the page should have the extension. Php. If your page has. Html or htm, you can trying to replace. only with the extension. php. Normally this should not change how the page appears in a web browser. If you find any problems you might make a new website with the extension. Php.

10. At the appropriate point on the website, where you want RSS feed to be displayed, paste the code in the sequence HTML script of the page. From there you can delete the installation code. You do not need to be added to all pages once you have added to carpconf.php page in step 8.

11. If you have opened your website in the web browser will start showing the RSS feed that comes with the package. To change this to RSS feed of your choice will have to make changes to the code that you entered in step 10. The code is a URL after CarpCasheShow. Change this URL with the URL of the RSS feed to display.

Now the website will display the RSS feed of your choice. You can choose to display more feeds on the same page or separate pages for RSS feed for different sources.
